Terms for Borrowers

These conditions are accepted when applying for a loan, and again when registering in the app.

1. The loan must be repaid by the end of its term. If something delays you, telephone the number on this website and agree an extension in conversation. In the event of serious illness or death, the loan does not have to be repaid.
2. We do not publish your information. It may be shown to a specific person where fundraising, an audit, or establishing the accuracy of the accounts requires it.
3. A loan taken in your name may not be lent on to somebody else. It is not transferable.
4. The money must be used for the purpose it was borrowed for. Dan Noy-Dhar may ask for evidence at any time — a receipt for the computer or phone, for instance.
5. Nobody involved in Dan Noy-Dhar will ever take interest, extra money, a gift or a fee. Anyone found doing so will be dealt with. After repaying, you may contribute a small amount voluntarily — it is not required.
6. Keep every proof of repayment yourself — the bKash screenshot, the SMS, the transaction ID, the bank deposit slip. If the accounts disagree, you will be asked to produce it, and the register will not be updated without it.
7. This runs on contributions. Contributors want to know the money is reaching students, and it is other borrowers’ accounts that persuade the next person to give. So after receiving a loan you are required to leave a review on the Facebook page or group.
8. There is a Facebook group open only to borrowers, contributors, volunteers and directors, where news and updates are shared. Borrowers are required to be in it.

These conditions may be changed, extended or withdrawn by decision of the committee or the founder, as the running of Dan Noy-Dhar requires.
